Tall of Fame: Kevin Durant

On the 29th of September 1988, in Washington D.C, an all-star was born. Kevin Durant (6’9″) was raised by his grandparents because his parents got divorced when he was very young. Despite growing up without his parents, he grew-up with the motivation and determination to reach his dreams. Growing up he always wanted to play for the Toronto Raptors. This burning desire to play professional basketball is what helped him stay motivated as he progressed from grade school to college to the NBA.

In middle school, he was already six-foot tall and towered over his peers. This extreme height, for his age, created a large advantage for him out on the court. When he reached high school he already being looked at by a plethora of recruiters. After high school, he was recruited to play at the University of Texas where he only played one season before he was offered to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Mr. Durant played nine seasons with the Thunder before got to where he is today. He currently plays for the Golden State Warriors and is ranked as one of the highest-paid basketball players in the world. He has started several charities and tries his hardest to give back to the community. He has yet to marry but has had many girlfriends and plans to settle down one day.

Between his College career and his current NBA career, he has been awarded over 22 awards and accolades for his outstanding abilities and athleticism. Although he has yet to make his way into the hall of fame, he has now made it into our Tall of Fame.
