Meet TallSlim Tees brand ambassador and the front man for Ned Ryerson And The Groundhogs.
Officially, just how tall are you?
I am 6’10”.
Have you always been tall or did you get your height all at once growing up?
I was always the tallest kid in my classes in school.
What do you do for a living?
I am a high school science teacher in Toms River, NJ, and I am also a professional musician along the Jersey Shore.
What are some of your passions and hobbies?
Well, I have a few. I love playing music and entertaining people, and I’m very lucky I get to do this as a profession. I also am a weather geek- I love forecasting the winter storms and severe weather. I’m a sports guy as well, I enjoy playing basketball, soccer, and tennis.
What do you think is the best and worst part of being tall?
Worst: Not really able to buy clothes or shoes in stores, like a normal person.
Best: I love the fact that I stand out.
Which tall question do you wish people would stop asking you and do you have a clever rebuttal?
It’s either the “How tall are you?” question or its the “Do you play basketball?” question. I get those basically on daily basis. I don’t mind answering the question if someone asks. What I can’t stand is when people just make a comment under their breath and pretend like I can’t hear it.
So…do you play basketball?
I did. I played for Stony Brook University, which is a Division I school in Long Island, NY. I also played for several semi-professional teams in the NJ/NY area. I’m all retired now, except for a few pick up games here and there.
You can either be the smartest person in the world or the richest person in the world…which do you choose and why?
If I was smart, I’m sure I could find a way to become rich, so I’d pick the smartest person in the world.
Would you be any taller or shorter if you could be?
Neither. I love my height exactly were it is.
