The summer is over which means many movie fans are looking back at their favorite summer blockbusters or trying to figure out which ones they need to rent when they get home releases. Who are the tallest actors from this year though? My criteria is simple. They have to have a movie released in 2018. Whether that was in January, or won’t be until December. So, who’s the first person on this list? We’re going to start things off with The Rock!
That’s right, Dwayne Johnson is 6’ 5” tall and one of the biggest stars right now. In 2017 he was in four movies ranging from Baywatch to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and then in 2018 it seems like he slacked off a bit. That’s right, in 2018 Johnson was only in two films: Rampage and Skyscraper. If you’re a big fan of Johnson, don’t worry though because he’s already got at least four films planned for 2019.
Most people will know that Johnson started his career as a wrestler. Everyone knows that. So, when did he start acting? Some would argue that wrestling is acting, but I’m thinking more in terms of doing movies. Well, his first film was The Mummy Returns in 2001. The Mummy Returns was the sequel to the amazing film The Mummy and featured Johnson as the Scorpion King. From there, he got his own spin-off film to boot. Now, he’s one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.
