Name: Al Bingham
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 190lbs
TallSlim Tee Size: Medium
Favorite TallSlim Product:
It’s a close call between the V-Neck and Crew Neck Short Sleeve Tees, as well as the Long Sleeve Henleys.
What do you do for work?
For the last 25 years, my work has been teaching yoga.
What kind of car do you drive?
Ford F150 Lightning.
What do you like most about being tall?
Everything is within my reach.
What do you hate most about being tall?
It’s a long way down if I trip and fall.
How tall is your tallest friend?
6’8”.
If you could change your height, would you? Why or why not?
I’d stay just as I am. I don’t feel excessively tall, like I stick out, even though I am taller than most people I know. My mom’s a powerful 5’2” which taught me from an early age that height alone won’t give you a commanding presence or other people’s attention and respect.
What is the most difficult piece of clothing to find for yourself?
T-shirts! Before TallSlim Tees, they were rough to find. If they were long, they were bulky. If they extended below my waist during normal activities, they lifted up every time I raised my arms overhead (which for me is something I do a lot :-))
What is your favorite piece of clothing that you have?
In winter time, it’s the Henley. The rest of the year, it’s a slim fitting T-Shirt.
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
While I can’t name names, over the course of my yoga teaching career, I’ve taught Emmy-, Grammy-, Oscar- and Tony-award winning performers. But mostly, I work with everyday people, especially those with a few extra aches and pains; we find a way to handcraft yoga practices that fit them for exactly who they are.
Any advice for your fellow tall man?
A little health- and relaxation-oriented PSA for men over 6 feet: in order for us to optimally increase our heart-rate variability and balance our nervous system, we have to take fewer breaths per minute than our shorter brethren (approximately 3 ½ breaths per minute vs the 5-6 breaths per minute that others are suggested to take).
