Our Favorite Tall Women In The Media

Today we consider 6 awesome women over 6 feet tall. All 6 of whom could totally rock a TallSlim Tee.

Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie may be the coolest tall woman around today. And what’s even better is that she makes tall awesome. She entered our lives in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones playing one of the favorite characters, Brienne of Tarth. When she entered the audition dressed in costume and towering at 6 foot 3 inches, she got the spot without question. From there she went on to play the fabulously armored Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Which role she will reprise in The Last Jedi.

Geena Davis

Geena Davis started the whole “tall woman” thing. Way before it was cool. She comes in at a solid 6 foot even. She started off her career as a model and got her big break in Tootsie as April Page. From there she went on to star in films like The Fly, Beetlejuice, and Thelma and Louise, eventually winning Best Supporting Actress in The Accidental Tourist.

Aisha Tyler

Aisha Tyler is 6 foot and proud. She is perhaps best known as the co-host of CBS’s The Talk, but she also has her hand in all other kinds of pies. She does the voice of Lana Kane in Archer, hosts Whose Line is it Anyway, and her likeness even appears in the video game Watch Dogs

Famke Janssen

Famke hails from the Netherlands and therefore she is tall. She comes at just barely 6 feet. She is, of course, best known for her role as Jean Grey, a.k.a Phoenix, in the X-men film series. Famke is an activist and serves as the Goodwill Ambassador for Integrity for the UN.

Alexis Skye

Alexis Skye is really tall. Like really really tall. She is 6 foot 5 inches. She is also a bikini model. That combination earned her recognition in Guinness Book of World Records as “World’s Tallest Fashion and Bikini model.” Alexis was born at a noteworthy 24 inches and grew to be 6 foot 4 at the young age of 16. I bet she wished she had known about TallSlim Tees for women back then.

Cheryl Biron

Cheryl Biron may be the odd one out on this list, but she proves that glitz and glamor aren’t the only routes to success for tall women. Cheryl is the President and CEO One Horn Transportation, a national transportation company. She says her height has given her a more powerful presence in business. She said, “We have to own it. It projects confidence and a stronger executive presence.”

This just goes to show that there are a ton of us out there! The tall men and women of the world today are making huge strides in the business and entertainment industries and not just in sports – giving us even more reasons to do what we do – making shirts that fit the not-so-average height of the rest of you folks.
